CVGT Australia Group Training Manager Karen Patterson says apprenticeships and traineeships are a pathway for young people to commence their life career.

“These are viable real-life career opportunities, not everybody needs or wants to go to university,” says Karen.

“An apprentice or trainee can get paid while gaining valuable skills and experience and gain a nationally recognised qualification with no HECS debt.

“We employ the apprentice or trainee and take care of all the administration, paperwork, payroll and Work Health & Safety. We also make sure businesses get the maximum financial benefit from government incentives.

“Business owners can then concentrate their efforts on the operations of their business. It’s also reassuring to know that if circumstances change, a business can hand back the apprentice or trainee and trust us to place them with another business so they may continue their training without disruption.”
