Speeding up recruitment in Launceston
Job seekers and employers have gathered in Launceston for the region’s best recruitment and networking opportunity.
CVGT Australia’s Speed Interviewing event brought together dozens of local people looking for work and businesses looking for staff.
Job seekers each got three minutes to meet and impress a prospective employer.
“Employers in many industries are needing staff and we are pleased to be able to support their recruitment needs and do so,” CVGT Australia’s operations manager Peter Barnes says.
Launceston Speed Interviewing’s record so far speaks for itself, with many people involved going on to find employment or training.
“The feedback we’d had from those who’ve taken part in this event in the past has been fantastic,” CVGT Australia’s Launceston branch manager Alexis Smith says.
“The fast-paced nature of the format means people are keen to impress, and it leads to some great interactions.
“We know for lots of people looking for work, making connections with employers can be tough. The beauty of Speed Interviewing is job seekers can meet several businesses in quick succession.
“They then stand a really good chance of finding the meaningful work they’ve been looking for.”
