Inspiring Launceston youth
Young people from northern Tasmania have come together to learn about how they can plan for an exciting future career.
CVGT Australia partnered with a range of local organisations and sponsors to deliver the Youth Elevation event at the Door of Hope in South Launceston.
The forum was designed to support young people as the community emerges from the COVID pandemic.
The attendees heard from motivational speakers, met several support agencies and learned about how they can engage with the community.
“Our aim is to inspire and motivate young people to get involved in the world around them, while also showing them there is plenty of support available if they need it,” CVGT Australia’s head of youth employment services Gillian Sawyer said.
For 40 years, CVGT Australia has been supporting young people from all backgrounds to build their skills and confidence, preparing them for meaningful work in a career they are passionate about.
CVGT offers a range of employment programs across northern and north-west Tasmania, and will be a local provider of the federal government’s new Workforce Australia program when it launches in July.
