Wodonga’s cleaning workshop and speed interviews yield six job offers

The CVGT Employment Wodonga team hosted an exciting and productive cleaning workshop in collaboration with Letizia’s Training & Development. The training, followed by a successful speed interview session, resulted in six job offers for participants, marking a significant achievement in local employment efforts.

Workshop highlights

The one-day, five-hour workshop provided hands-on training in essential cleaning skills, helping participants build confidence and proficiency in:

  • Commercial Cleaning
  • Kitchen Hand Cleaning
  • Motel Housekeeping

Eight eager participants, including six from the Workforce Australia program and two from Transition to Work, attended the workshop to enhance their skills and boost their employability.

Speed interviewing session

Following the workshop, Wodonga Business Development Officers Khoa Le and Jodie Ward organised a speed interview session. Three employers—Cleaveland Cleaning, A Grade Cleaning, and Delited Cleaning Services—conducted interviews with the workshop participants at the Wodonga site.

Participants arrived well-prepared, dressed professionally, and equipped with updated resumes.

Job outcomes and successes

The speed interview session was a resounding success, resulting in six job offers for the participants. This remarkable outcome highlights the effectiveness of the workshop and the interview session in bridging the gap between training and employment.

“The enthusiasm and readiness of the participants were evident, and their preparation truly paid off,” Jodie says.
