Alanna finds family- work- life sweet spot

Alanna finally found the right balance, juggling motherhood, starting a personal training business and teaching fitness skills to kids.  

CVGT Employment first met Alanna when she joined the ParentsNext program at the Ringwood office.

Returning to work after becoming a parent

Wanting to explore a new career path after being a stay-at-home parent her Transition Support Coach Tameka helped set out a path to finding the right fit.

“She suffered some medical issues and was working on her recovery while still being very positive about the future,” Tameka says.

After exploring her options, Alanna wanted to continue her personal training career, possibly starting her own business.

She wanted a career that was flexible enough to continue being a present parent to her son.

Together they researched opportunities to upskill her fitness qualifications.

“She needed 12 course points to maintain her personal training accreditation.”

It didn’t take long for Alanna to find the perfect job as a personal trainer, teaching fitness skills to children.
