Corbett takes the reins as CVGT Australia chair
CVGT Australia has welcomed the election of Liz Corbett as the new chair of the organisation’s board.
She takes over the role from Dave Richardson, who was recently appointed Head of Campus at Bendigo TAFE.
Liz Corbett has close to 30 years’ governance and executive management experience, having served on a range of government and non-government boards.
She was previously chair of the disability support organisation Yooralla and served as president of Victoria’s Disability Services Board.
“I am thrilled and honoured to be taking on the role of chair at CVGT Australia, where I have served as a director for many years,” she says.
“I would like to congratulate Dave on his term as chair, and I look forward to continuing the work to further develop the CVGT Australia business.”
Chief Executive Officer Jason Russell says: “We are very fortunate to have such leadership depth on our Board and I’m excited to work with Liz, Lee and the Board to deliver the next phase of our Strategic Plan,” he says.
“I would like to thank Dave for his support and guidance over the past couple of years.”
At the CVGT Australia Annual General Meeting held last week Lee Bombardieri was elected as the deputy chair. Dave Richardson will continue to serve as a board director.
