Covid-19: Further suspension of obligations in regional NSW
The suspension of mutual obligation requirements for job seekers and participants in regional New South Wales has been extended.
The Federal government confirmed yesterday the temporary suspension would remain in place until Tuesday 14 September.
As has happened previously, text messages have been sent to those affected by the decision.
Greater Sydney’s temporary suspension remains in place until Tuesday 5 October.
Even though obligation requirements are suspended, job seekers are reminded that looking for work remains a fundamental requirement.
In Victoria, lockdown measures have been extended. Existing restrictions, with some minor changes, will remain in place in metropolitan Melbourne until at least Thursday 23 September.
But the state government has indicated lockdown could end in regional Victoria next week.
Updates on restrictions and the suspension of mutual obligation requirements in Victoria will be published as they are updated.
