CVGT Appoints Managing Director
The Board of CVGT Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Jason Russell to the newly created position of Managing Director.
Mr Russell has previously held Local Government CEO positions with Campaspe and Gannawarra Shires and has just finished a short term role as Manager, Economic Development with Regional Development Victoria in the Hume Region.
The Acting Chair of CVGT Australia, Mr Dave Richardson said: “The Board was extremely pleased with the high calibre of the shortlisted applicants but Jason Russell was a standout selection. Jason is well known and respected across northern Victoria and southern NSW and has worked closely with governments at all levels.”
The Acting Chair further stated that: “Mr Russell has well developed expertise in strategic planning, people management and stakeholder engagement which are key areas on which the Board wishes to improve the organisation’s focus. The Board is confident Jason is an excellent fit for our organisation.”
Mr Russell said: “I am very pleased to be joining CVGT Australia and I look forward to the challenge of leading and growing an organisation with 400 staff, delivering services in over 100 locations across three States. My values are well aligned with those of CVGT Australia and the importance of getting people into jobs cannot be underestimated in transforming their lives”.
Last year, CVGT Australia supported over 8,000 Australians on their journey to achieving paid work through a diverse range of employment programs.
Mr Russell will be based at CVGT Australia’s head office in Bendigo and will take up the role in early August.
