Employment support for school leavers
A new year brings new hope. If you’re a school leaver, who is feeling anxious about job prospects and not going into full-time study, CVGT Australia can support you with flexible and supportive employment options.
According to the Federal Government, more than 236,000 students completed Year 12 this year. Future plans include undertaking a degree, learning a trade, studying a vocational qualification or getting a job.
Through our broad suite of employment programs we can help build up your skills or confidence and support you to find meaningful work. As a result, you can look forward to a smooth transition from school to work or pursuing an apprenticeship or traineeship.
Our Group Training program helps job seekers pursue a vocational career through an apprenticeship or traineeship in a range of industries.
Through our Disability Employment Services program, our team of employment consultants can help people with a disability, injury or health condition (including anxiety and depression) find and keep a job. We focus on what you’re good at and match your skills to the right job. You then continue to receive support as your confidence grows and you adjust to your new workplace.
We believe ongoing support is critical in turning your job into lasting and meaningful work. Once you know which program is for you, the road to the perfect job will generally start with an interview with one of our employment experts. They will take time to get to know you to understand your current skills, goals and individual circumstances. In working together with you, your family and support network, we develop a personalised approach to help get you job ready.
The School Leavers Information Kit, Your Career: What’s next for you?, is another handy resource.
