2024 World Down Syndrome Day Lunch
21 March @ 11:30 am – 2:30 pm AEDT
Join us on Thursday 21 March at Crown Palladium Ballroom Melbourne, for the 2024 World Down Syndrome Day Lunch!
Hosted by the Inclusion Foundation, with special guest Andy Lee as MC, you will hear from the Carlton Football Club President and network with Melbourne’s business leaders, with the purpose of raising much-needed funds for Inclusion Foundation.
The event also includes a special performance of emotion21’s “3-2-1”, Judge’s pick at the 2023 Melbourne Fringe Festival. Conceived and crafted by three creators with Down syndrome, ‘3-2-1’ uses dance to explore the intertwined themes of capability, challenge, and enhancement. ‘3-2-1’ is more than just a show—it’s a reimagining of dance through the lens of Down syndrome. The emotion21 company, each imbued with their own unique experiences, are using the medium of dance to share their stories as imagineers and storytellers.
This year’s theme for the internationally recognised day is ‘End The Stereotypes’, calling for all people to put an end to stereotypes. You can learn more about World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) and this year’s theme here.
CVGT Employment will join business leaders to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and raise funds for Inclusion Foundation.
