On Sunday August 6, the CVGT Employment Echuca team will participate in Johnno’s Run a 5km, 10km or 21km run, walk or wheel (mobility aids only) dedicated to raising funds for the Opening Doors Project – building homes for people with disability.

About Johnno’s Run 2023 – Building home for people with disability
Celebrating its 10th year, Johnno’s Run is an annual fundraising event organised by Community Living and Respite Services (CLRS). The event supports CLRS to build homes for people with disability in the local Echuca Moama community.
Opening Doors Project
The Opening Doors Project is an innovative housing project and to date has built, three houses and 10 units in Echuca Moama, supporting 20 people with disability to live independently in their own community. By supporting or participating in Johnno’s Run 2023 you will help CLRS to build their fifth project – 2, two-bedroom units in Spoonbill Street Moama.

Cris Stevens – Todd, Service Manager for Defined Programs CLRS and his family participate in Johnno’s Run every year. Here is what he had to say about why he participates. “The part I enjoy the most is at the end when the houses are built. Seeing what the money raised has gone towards and seeing firsthand how life-changing it is to the people moving in and their families.”
