Update on mutual obligations
Mutual obligation requirements for job seekers and participants in the Albury area have been suspended.
The Federal government has confirmed the suspension for people in the Albury local government area, which went into lockdown last week.
The suspension will run until Tuesday 28 September. People affected by the change were being sent text messages, the government said.
The Federal government has reminded job seekers that despite the suspension, looking for work remains a fundamental requirement.
Suspensions for much of the rest of regional New South Wales expire today.
For Greater Sydney, metropolitan Melbourne and all of regional Victoria, suspensions remain in place until Tuesday 5 October.
